How do I update information included in my profile?

After logging in, you’ll see your main account listing. To the right, just below your profile header photo, you should see a gear icon. Clicking that and selecting “Edit Profile” will allow you to update your profile information.

What information is included in my listing?

Initially your first name, last name, address, and email address are included in your account. You have the option of adding more information like your Hebrew name, cell phone number, birth date, biographical information, etc.

Who has access to my information?

Any other approved member of the CBI Online Blue Book can view your information as well as site administrators.

Why should I list my information?

Listing your information is entirely voluntary.  You can include as many or as few of the listed fields as you like.  This Online Blue Book functions much like our cherished Blue Book which has been published biennially by the Sisterhood, but this one can be updated in real time.  Listing your information allows other members and the synagogue to be able to contact you socially or for purposes of synagogue programs and functions, or even to wish you happy birthday!  Only members can see your information.

How do I change my notification settings?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Notifications”. Click this to see and change your notification settings. After making any changes be sure to click “Update Notifications” to save your changes.

What are Groups?

Groups allow users to join groups around shared topics.

Can I create my own Groups?

No. At this time new Groups may only be created by the Member Administrator or website admins.

How do I change my privacy settings?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Privacy”. Click this to see and change your account privacy settings. After making any changes be sure to click “Update Privacy” to save your changes.

How do I delete my account?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Delete My Account”. After selecting this option you’ll be asked to enter a password to delete your account. This option deletes your entire account and cannot be undone.

I don’t want to delete my account but how can I hide my information?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Privacy”. After selecting “Privacy”, you should see a settings labeled “Profile Privacy”. Setting this to “Only Me” will allow you to keep your account without any other member being able to see your personal information.

What information can I add to my account beyond the basic information?

You have the option of adding more information like your Hebrew name, cell phone number, birth date, biographical information, etc.

How do I reset my password?

Go to https://bnaiisrael-nm.org/wp-login.php There you’ll see a link with the text, “Lost Your Password?” Click that link and follow the instructions to reset your password.

How can I change the email address on the account?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Account”. After selecting this option you’ll see your current email address. Update the email address and click “Update Account” to save the change.

How do I change the name on the account?

After logging in, use the top menu to go to Account => My Account Settings. On the left site you should see an option labeled “Account”. After selecting this option you’ll see the current name on the account. Update the name and click “Update Account” to save the change.

Can I change my login name?

No. The login name was set at the time of account creation and cannot be changed. You can however change the email on the account and use that to log in instead of the login name.
