A latka fund drive—sounds silly, doesn’t it?
Chanukah is special. It is one of holidays that draws not only the active Jewish population, but also the unaffiliated Jew and the general public. This year, CBI is hosting the Albuquerque Chanukah Fest, the largest Jewish holiday community event in the city. This is one of the first occasions where other Jewish organizations will join with us in a coming together since the pandemic. We’re proud that we are putting it on and we’d like the event to be affordable to all the community and CBI members who’d like to attend.
But costs have gone up. Food, drinks, security and, of course, latkes. Because of all these factors, we are welcoming financial sponsors to help fund the event costs. Yes, we’re asking that you throw a few shekels in the bucket.
