We are making every effort to ensure that our members, friends, and visitors know about the vibrant goings-on in our synagogue. We produce several valuable sources of news and information regarding Judaism, our events, and our community. Below are the print and digital communication methods we use to share information with CBI’s members and friends.

As a non-profit organization, we do not sell our member lists to prospective advertisers. We can, however, put together appealing advertising packages for businesses of all sizes that are interested in growing by reaching our Jewish-focused audiences.

The Shofar: Your Monthly Gateway to Life at B’nai

We produce a high-quality monthly newsletter called, The Shofar, which is mailed to our members’ homes. In a time when many organizations are abandoning printed matter to keep constituents informed about the pulse of what’s going on, that’s not the case for CBI.

88% of our members look forward to reading our printed newsletter when it arrives in their snail mail (Source: 2018 CBI Member Survey).

Since EVERYONE READS IT, it’s here to stay! It also means The Shofar can be a significant vehicle for advertising your local business. Advertising rates are reasonably priced. Moreover, having a presence in it gives your business the added benefit of receiving a positive halo. Our members like to patronize the businesses who support their indispensable synagogue.

Current Advertising Rates (as of November 2019):

  • Business Card Ads– Per Month: $30; 6 months prepaid[2] : $165; 1 year prepaid: $300
  • Quarter Page Ads– Per Month: $60; 6 months prepaid: $330; 1 year prepaid; $600

The “Blue Book”: Our Biannual Membership Directory

Our Sisterhood produces an essential high-quality member directory that is distributed to all of our members, the Blue Book. We use it to keep in touch with each other and to share our business connections. Businesses may reach CBI’s members with reasonably priced advertisements that offer the extended benefit of the directory’s two-year shelf-life. In addition to our members’ contact information, the Blue Book includes dates of Jewish Holidays, contact information for CBI Board of Trustees, auxiliaries, and corporations. Of course, it includes the comprehensive contact list for all Blue Book advertisers. To have your business included in this directory and for the associated costs, please contact Nori Yonack through her listing in the Blue Book, or leave her a message at the main office (505) 266-0155.

The Sanctuary Bulletin: Sabbath Announcements

Our dedicated volunteers produce a printed pamphlet, the Sanctuary bulletin, which is inserted into our Sabbath prayer books. The pamphlet offers highlights of upcoming synagogue events, time-sensitive announcements, and a list of our member Yahrzeits and other memoriams. The bulletin has space for business card-sized, and half-page sized advertisements. These bulletins are viewed by all of our weekly worshippers. Call the office (505) 266-0155 to secure your advertisement  here[5] .

“This Week @ B’nai”: The Member E-Blast

Every week, we email a members-only news digest, “This Week @B’nai,” to those who subscribe to receive notifications about upcoming events, changes to service times, condolence call details, and other time-sensitive updates. This high-touch communication vehicle keeps members abreast of CBI’s major happenings and deadlines. Sponsors of “This Week @ B’nai” may be named with gratitude inside the e-Blast along with a spotlight and a hyperlink to their own business websites. To learn more about this advertising opportunity, contact Jimmy Tran at (505) 266-0155.

Facebook: Our Social Media Outlet

The Congregation’s Facebook page extends our outreach to the Albuquerque community, people, and places beyond our members. Presently, CBI is approaching 5,000 followers, who receive our frequent status updates about our events and other newsworthy mentions. In the Facebook space we may acknowledge CBI advertisers and event programming sponsors. When you support us, we can let our followers know about it. Contact Jimmy Tran through a message at the main office to explore the possibilities (505) 266-0155.

www.bnaiisrael-nm.org: Our Online Home

CBI has recently revamped its website to make our digital content more useful to our site visitors. We are developing new areas on the site that could be sponsored by generous members or forward-thinking businesses. As our primary online home, www.bnaiisrael-nm.org is frequented by established and new members, prospective members, and visitors to Albuquerque. If you would like to raise your company’s profile, and if you wish to help underwrite CBI’s production and maintenance of this digital content, contact Jimmy Tran through a message at the main office (505) 266-0155.
